Running for a Cause and Learning More about Sustainable Living!

Today I ran the Mother’s for Clean Air 5k in Houston, TX…I dedicated this race to my late grandmother-in-law, who passed on Thursday morning. My goal was to set a PR, and I did it! Here’s to you Grandma S!
- Time: 25:59.5 (8:22 pace; had to write it all out…just to prove I beat 26:00
) - 138/453 (overall)
- 9/45 (age group) corrected…10/51 now (as of 4/12)
Also, Mark ran his first race! And he didn’t do half bad, as he doesn’t train nearly as hard I as do and was having a horrible time with his allergies today…
- Time: 32:52 (10:35 pace)
- 302/453 (overall)
- 21/26 (age group) corrected…23/29 now (as of 4/12)
After the race, we had our becoming traditional breakfast at Ziggy’s and then I went climbing with a friend who hadn’t climbed for nearly a year after becoming pregnant/giving birth. It’s been a great day! Now to cook Easter dinner and our secret first Daring Bakers challenge
With Easter and having to go back to Philly for the funeral next week, my posting may be scattered, but I’ll do my best to update as I am able!

Stef, This is an awesome site…I am truly proud of you. Can you at all backlink with our URL? I have to have Mark show me how to place links in my site to others. Love you, and look forward to seeing you in a week and do the 5K in Hershey on the 20th. Love, Dad
