You sure can! You can also omit the powder...I use it to up the protein content and get my ratios in check. This weekend I also added a touch of cinnamon to the protein powder to coat the dried fruit and that came out tasty as well. Love the adaptability of the recipe, really do!

Jaz,

Glad your family loves them as much as mine! Yes, we too have given up the Cilf and Luna bars in favor of them :-)

Claper,

Nope, no baking necessary after toasting the oats and heating the honey/pb mixture. It will depend on your ingredients how long it will take to set up...on average it takes a few hours, but when I'm using not as high quality honey, it can take up to overnight or a bit longer for them to set up properly without crumbling apart. So, I'd do a test batch one evening and check in them the morning for their texture. If they seem set, give it a go to cut them up and go from there...

Do you bake these after they're mixed, or just let them cool/set up? If so, for how long?

thanks for these! my family is CRAZY for them. my husband used to take clif bars to work as a snack, but he says these are even better. maybe because they're so fresh. i've added a dash of vanilla to the PB/honey mix, and some cinnamon to the dry ingredients.
