BagelFest ’09 5k (and why you shouldn’t run injured…)
Today was BagelFest ’09, a 5k race I decided to run on my weekend off in Austin, TX. It was a different run for me…as I live in Houston, I’m not used to hills. To complicate matters, I really messed up one of my arches by wearing what I now know being attributed to too small shoes (1.5 sizes) in my 10k last weekend (thus very little running during the past week and some pain). Today I ran my first 10k race…I didn’t do too badly all things given, especially since I ice skated for 2 hours the night before!
